Feeding Zimbabwe's farmers the right way
8tins was built to solve a real problem — rising feed costs, import dependency, and unreliable supply. We produce locally, think biologically, and put farmers first.
Our story
Why 8tins exists
8tins was established to respond to a growing crisis facing Zimbabwe's smallholder livestock farmers — feed that is too expensive, too imported, and too unreliable to build a sustainable farming business around.
Founded by Linda Ndiweni with a board of experienced professionals, 8tins set out to produce livestock feed that is affordable, locally sourced, and grounded in the natural biology of the animals it feeds.
Our flagship product, Pa-morsh, harnesses the protein power of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae — a feed ingredient that mirrors how poultry and livestock eat in nature, while being entirely produced within Zimbabwe.
THE PROBLEM WE BUILT FOR
1) High & unpredictable costs — feed prices fluctuate constantly, making planning impossible for small farmers
2) Import dependency — most protein ingredients are imported, exposing farmers to forex risk and supply gaps.
3) Supply disruptions — inconsistent availability limits production cycles and income.
8tins eliminates all three by producing locally, at scale, with consistent quality monitoring.
